Kay Sylvester

The Rev. Kay Sylvester is the rector at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Tustin, Calif. She is a teacher, trainer, retreat leader and preschool chaplain. Her prior experience includes teaching piano and guitar, and selling volleyball and wrestling equipment.

Bryan Pearson

Bryan Pearson is a student at Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received his Master of Divinity from Emmanuel Christian Seminary, and is now pursuing a Master in Anglican Studies as he pursues his call to the priesthood.

Jill Stellman

Meet Jill Stellman, seminarian for the week of January 23-29, 2012.

Jill is a senior M.Div. student at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin. Before attending seminary, she was a software consultant and software engineer. Her home diocese is the Diocese of Albany, New York, and she looks forward to serving in a parish after graduation in May 2012.

J. Gregory Morgan

Meet J. Gregory Morgan, seminarian for the week of January 2-8, 2012.

Greg is a senior M.Div. student at the General Theological Seminary in New York City. His home diocese is West Missouri, and his sponsoring parish is Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Kansas City, Missouri. Greg embarked on his ordination path after a long and productive career in private education as a teacher and headmaster, and he continues to see education as a critical component of his ministry; this year he is mentoring an Education for Ministry (EFM) group at his field site parish on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He is to be ordained shortly after graduation in the spring of 2012.

Jeremy Bergstrom

Meet Jeremy Bergstrom, seminarian for the week of December 25, 2011 – January 1, 2012.

Jeremy is currently in the one-year Anglican Studies Certificate program at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, Wisconsin, and an aspirant in the Diocese of Northern Indiana. He is also nearly finished with his Ph.D. in Historical Theology at the University of Durham in Durham, England, where he is writing on St. Augustine of Hippo. Having just returned to the U.S. after three years in England, he and his wife live in Wisconsin with their two young sons. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys building train tracks and wrestling on the floor with his boys, or shopping with his wife.

Colin Chapman

Meet Colin Chapman, seminarian for the week of December 19-25, 2011.

Colin is a senior at the General Theological Seminary in New York City, currently living off campus with his wife and their son. Before seminary, Colin worked as a Ryan White case manager with HIV/AIDS patients, and he spent three years working for Apple, Inc. His passion for the church and technology has led him to focus on the education of church leaders in understanding the importance of social media and how it relates to the Incarnation. Colin is currently a postulant in the Diocese of Connecticut.
