A Way Forward

“Where do we go from here? Chaos or Community?”

The aftermath of the recent shootings of two black men and five police officers raises questions about race, structural racism, racial justice, and criminal justice in the United States. Concerns about police and local government’s relationship with the community are compelling and urgent.

Additionally, concern about the dignity and treatment of youth and young adults who are black universally challenges us to embrace the unique role of the church in bringing about racial justice and reconciliation.

As we move forward, we offer these resources to share stories, liturgical materials, prayers, and practices from across The Episcopal Church. Please take a moment to engage in these resources as we work toward racial justice and reconciliation in our local, regional, and global contexts.
