Episcopal Latino Ministry Competency (ELMC) Chicago, 2017 – an innovative, nine-day intensive course designed for diocesan staff, clergy, lay leaders, and seminarians.

“The purpose of Episcopal Latino Ministry Competency course is to provide a hands-on, cultural competency of the history, culture, socio-demographic, and religious aspects of Latinos/Hispanics in the United States.” The Rev. Canon Anthony Guillén. Combining academic strength with hands-on experience, this multi-faceted course will provide foundational tools for church leaders to gain a deep understanding of ways of welcoming and serving Latino families, sharing spiritual, sacramental and community life, and discerning and exploring the type of Latino ministry that best fits a congregational setting and its context.
