The Diocese of Toronto is seeking a new Executive Director to be a senior member of the Diocesan staff.

The Diocese of Toronto, with more than 200 churches and worshipping communities in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, serves Christ’s mission through compassionate service, intelligent faith, and godly worship. Founded in 1839, with an operating budget of over $8 million, a Synod of over 700, 150 high capacity volunteers and over 40 dedicated staff at the head office, the Diocese is the most populous of the 30 dioceses in the Anglican Church of Canada. The geographical area extends over 26,000 square kilometres, stretching from Mississauga to Brighton and north to Haliburton and Collingwood.

The Diocese of Toronto seeks a new Executive Director (ED) to provide outstanding operational leadership to a talented and devoted staff at this complex organization. Reporting to the Diocesan Bishop, and fostering an environment of empowerment and accountability, the ED is the most senior administrative executive and oversees the management of all administrative services at the Diocese. The ED drives strategic planning through effective leadership at the Diocesan Centre and works closely with the Diocesan Bishop to ensure the implementation of the strategic plan is accomplished.

With demonstrated senior leadership experience in a complex faith based organization or public enterprise, the successful candidate will be a systems thinker, strategic leader, inspire and mentor talented staff, and provide judicious financial stewardship while remaining committed to the Diocesan mission and directions.
