What do you want this person to do?
St. Augustine’s is seeking a part-time Priest-In-Charge who can work collaboratively with the Vestry and congregation to help discern God’s will for us as a parish and who can bring leadership in the implementation of the results of that discernment. We look for a spiritual leader with strengths in several areas.

We seek a priest who is above all a pastor, who, like the Lord, can laugh with us and cry with us and be there to celebrate those significant moments in our life. We seek a pastor whose gifts are more pastoral than administrative. We seek an individual who is comfortable dealing with the issues of aging.

We seek a priest who is comfortable with spontaneity and flexibility in worship and who is not ritual-bound while maintaining the best of our Episcopal traditions.

We seek a priest who is comfortable with collaboration, who is willing to work with parishioners in areas of governance, teaching and outreach.

We seek a priest who can be a force for social justice, a prophetic voice in the pulpit and in the larger community and who is willing to continue the good work begun in us.

We seek a priest who can listen and who wishes to learn from the wisdom and experience and insight this community has to offer.

We seek a priest who can lead us effectively and powerfully into the future.
