The Executive Assistant to the Bishop works closely with the bishop, providing administrative support, and works with his staff (15-20 individuals in executive, financial and support roles) to ensure the work of the diocese is regularly performed.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
– Scheduling appointments with the bishop and managing his calendar (both public and private)
– Helping to produce the bishop’s visitation rota
– Maintaining his agenda of extra-diocesan work, ensuring initiatives he supports and his own continue moving forward
– Managing and responding to correspondence (both email and postal)
– Helping to plan events with clergy, parishioners, donors, staff (including booking space & vendors, providing day-of coordination)
– Answering calls and responding to questions or directing inquiries
– Supporting the Canon to the Ordinary and other staff members as needed
– Providing a warm welcome and friendly presence to those visiting or calling Diocesan House
