Position Summary: Responsible for development and delivery of nurture and pastoral care services in collaboration with Trinity staff and congregation and in support of the overall mission of Trinity’s One Parish. Serves on Rota of clergy.


  • Work with the Vicar, Director, staff and lay leadership to help develop, manage, monitor, and upgrade, as necessary, programs and ongoing ministries for pastoral care and nurture, in support of the overall mission of Trinity Parish.
  • Assist in sacramental areas of baptisms, funerals and weddings.
  • Carry out pastoral visitations within the five boroughs.
  • Attend regular pastoral care meetings, and coordinate and work collegially with staff pastoral team to develop, maintain, and improve pastoral care.
  • Assist in monitoring the budget for the Congregational Council’s Community Standing Committee.
  • Serve on the team of priests for the weekday congregation, (excluding Mondays)*, and participate in the Rota for preaching and celebrating at Trinity Church and St. Paul’s Chapel.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to achieve success of all ministries of the congregation, as member of the congregational office.


  • Sophisticated writing skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • Ability to organize programs and people to create a community of compassion and hospitality.
  • Ability to discern and develop leadership in others.
  • Understanding of congregational ministries and expertise in program development and implementation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain network of external service providers in areas of sensitive pastoral care.

Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:

  • Div.; Ordained priest in Episcopal Church.
  • Experience working in an environment with large staff, diverse population, and complex operations.
  • Four to seven years program/ministry/staff management experience in a corporate church setting.
  • Experience in urban, fast-changing environments.
