|The following is a list of the qualities, skills, and characteristics most desired in our next rector.
We seek a priest who is skilled in traditional liturgy, yet willing to have a Taize service, or offer an instructional service on occasion. And someone who has a reverence toward the ritual of worship with inspiring and educational sermons.
We seek a priest who sets a tone of caring for the entire congregation, visiting the homebound and hospitalized as a top priority, as well as providing care for the dying and those left behind, caring for those in distress and newcomers.
We seek a priest who encourages stewardship awareness to improve the financial condition of the parish, who sets organizational priorities and works well with the parish administrator and treasurer and is inclusive of lay leaders of the church.
We seek a priest who welcomes young families, is warm with children and has a commitment to revitalize the Sunday School program.
We seek a priest who is a person of integrity, and is welcoming, accepting, compassionate, comforting, loving, encouraging, nonjudgmental, respectful, diplomatic, able to see different sides of issues, strong, committed, Joyful, enthusiastic, and with a sense of humor.
We seek a priest who is COMMITTED TO OUTREACH which has always been a top priority of our parish. Our new rector must be willing to continue this commitment, and represent St. Elizabeth’s in our local Ministerial Association and in the community at large.
