|Parishes in the Diocese of New York are invited to a free program that will introduce and equip you to start a planned giving program at your church.
Jim Murphy, Managing Program Director of Financial Resources at the Episcopal Church Foundation, leads us in easy-to-understand terms on how planned giving differs from annual stewardship and capital campaigns, and how your parish can build endowments through wills and life income gifts.
After a review of the planned giving instruments, you will learn about the importance of a parish vision, protecting and growing your endowment, and how to invite others to remember your parish through estate and financial planning. You will leave with a plan of action. Join us and take the mystery out of planned giving for your parish.
This event is free and open to Clergy, Wardens, Vestry, Stewardship Committees, or financial leadership of Episcopal parishes. RSVP by 10/10. Registration limited to 60 people. Light refreshments will be served.
